Victorville, California – The adrenaline was pumping, the engines roared, and the stakes were high as Team Up Racing, led by driver Myan Spaccarelli, made their mark in the Great American Short Course: Pro-2 Series. On June 10th-11th, 2023, at the SBC Fair Grounds in Victorville, California, the team showcased their exceptional skills and secured first place in both races, leaving a lasting impression on both their competitors and spectators.

In a breathtaking display of skill and strategy, Myan Spaccarelli maneuvered their race truck with precision and determination, overcoming thrilling challenges along the way. During the first race on June 10th, under the night sky, a sudden turn of events unfolded. As the leader spun out while exiting a left turn, Myan seized the opportunity, swiftly passing from 2nd place to 1st place. With a burst of speed and unwavering focus, they created a substantial lead, crossing the finish line in first position, setting the tone for the rest of the weekend.

The exceptional performance of Team Up Racing goes beyond their victories on the track. Led by a group of young boys and girls who are balancing their dedication to racing with their commitment to staying out of trouble and avoiding negative influences, the team’s achievements are truly inspiring. Competing against seasoned professionals with salary-based mechanics, it is a testament to their talent, hard work, and resilience that they can hold their own and emerge victorious.

Overcoming challenges is part of the journey to success, and Team Up Racing faced their fair share during this race weekend. Following their impressive win in the first night race, the team discovered an issue during their routine checkup — the transmission needed to be swapped out. With their expert mechanic located 100 miles away, time was of the essence. Undeterred, the determined team devised a plan. They decided to spend the rest of the night at the races, relaxing in their trailers and socializing with other kids their age and fellow teams. Then, at 5 AM, they embarked on a 100-mile journey back to their garage to successfully swap out the transmission for the Pro-2 race truck. Their resilience, teamwork, and unwavering dedication allowed them to return to the race on time, ready to conquer the challenges ahead.

The impact of the race weekend extends beyond the victories and challenges faced by Team Up Racing. Myan Spaccarelli, the driver and founder of the team, emphasized the importance of this experience as a learning moment. “This was definitely a great learning moment, not only for the kids to see what they are made of but for all of us to see where we stand and what improvements we have to make for the big race in Crandon,” he expressed. The team’s performance in the Great American Short Course series not only solidified their standing within the racing community but also showcased their determination and passion for the sport.

With unforgettable race highlights, exceptional performances, and the spirit of camaraderie, Team Up Racing has left an indelible mark on the Great American Short Course: Pro-2 Series.
